Katja is a bank clerk and has a master’s in psychology. Her interest and curiosity in people and their development, as well as her passion for unleashing potential and helping individuals discover their passion and strengths, led her to Dr. Bernd Schmid at the Institute for Systemic Counselling after studying psychology in Frankfurt and Trier.

A year abroad in the USA at a therapeutic institute shaped her sensitivity to diverse biographies and cultures and deepened her interest in diversity. Her passion for entrepreneurship and the vision of a competence center for potential development and cultural development led to the founding of Wengel & Hipp in 1999.

Since then, she has been a passionate coach for managers. Since then, she has been a passionate coach and trainer for managers. Additionally, she works as a certified trainer at the Institute for Systemic Consulting led by Dr. Bernd Schmid, constantly searching for innovative developments in science and education, and is an enthusiastic developer of coaches and consultants.


Her special interests are neurobiology and performance, strategic and potential-oriented career development, wise use of power, politics and leadership.
